AGCI
EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
Applications for the 2010-11 academic year are now available.
- Applicant must be a son, daughter, grandson or
granddaughter of a full-time employee (minimum employment of 2 years)
of an AGCI member or a son or daughter of an AGCI Staff member.
- Applicant must be a high school graduate or will
graduate the year applying.
- Applicant must have greater than or equal to a 2.5 on
a 4.0 scale grade point average.
- Applicant must be majoring in a curriculum, which will
be compatible with a career in the construction industry.
- Applicant must be pursuing undergraduate work only.
For consideration as a
recipient of the AGCI Education Foundation Scholarship the following
information must be submitted:
- Completed application form.
- High School Transcript, including ACT or SAT scores
along with a written explanation of the high school’s grading system
and class ranking system to include weighted averages or track
courses.
- Current college transcript, if applicable.
NOTE: High School
transcripts must be submitted if you are in college for 1 year or
less.
- Resume listing all activities and achievements.
- Essay explaining (1) how your chosen field will apply
to work in the construction industry; (2) your goals; (3) where you
plan to attend school; and (4) why you chose to apply for this
scholarship.
- Written verification of your parent’s employment
with an AGCI member. Verification
must be submitted by a company official.
Incomplete applications and applications submitted
after the due date will be subject to rejection. Deadline: March
12, 2010.
